We are a team of senior communications experts led by Maria Ford. She founded Phrase Strategy in 2017 to work closely with leadership teams, brands, and organizations in discovering and fully realizing their Essential Stories. She is a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner.
For each project, Maria collaborates with trusted resources in design, content, branding, digital and marketing communications.
The land that holds us
Phrase Strategy is a nationally incorporated company in Canada, part of Turtle Island. We live and operate from Ottawa, the nation’s capital city, which is built on un-ceded Algonquin Anishinaabe territory.
Life, love, business, and storytelling have been conducted here for millennia. Our ancestors were welcomed here in the spirit of partnership, collaboration, and sharing. Every day, we feel gratitude for the bounty of this place and for our free and unhindered access to the healing water and rapids of the Kitchi Sibi.
